In Which Whichever Way It Tolls It Tolls For Thee

Only one of them is Jewish, but they’re all anti-Semitic.

Of all the insane movie projects that are currently in development–as Hollywood has no ideas and is farming our screenplays to migrant workers–currently my favorite term for anything, three projects have wrought themselves on our brain candy, even more so than I Know Who Killed Me.

1.  First off, Robert Zemeckis doing Beowulf. Are you kidding? Will they be doing adaptations of cave drawings next? This book has no story and this movie has no prayer.

“Black Books” — Nils Lofgren (mp3)

2. The new Wes Anderson. I’m as big a Wes Anderson fanboy as the next guy–for christ’s sake I wrote a hit play because of this movie–but The Darjeeling Unlimited? Heard of challenging yourself there big guy? No real need to become the Hitchcock of weird movies about White People’s Problems. All I know is there is nothing at all to like about Adrien Brody in India. That is a repulsive idea.

“I Knew I Loved You” — Savage Garden (mp3)

3.  Lastly, could I be more excited about The GamePlan????

“Better Man” — Pearl Jam (mp3)
