Even in this post-post-9/11 landscape, the world is still a pretty scary place. I know Tess will love reading In Cold Blog, the true crime blog. A few of my fears:

Or how about the Russian and Japanese scientists trying to clone Wooly Mammoths and open Pleistocene Park in Siberia? Surely nothing could go wrong there. Sounds like they’ve been smoking that megaherb and watching JP 3.

An Ice Age theme park full of clones combines so many horror tropes I find scary, and it is happening in real life! Maybe I’m scared of snow too. I blame The Shining and The Thing.

If I ever do manage to hit Siberia, I’m more likely to swing by the Jewish Autonomous Oblast in Birobidzhan.
The Shining is one of the best horror movies about Masculinity (with a capital M, for REDRUM). My other personal favorites of the scary genre; Alien, Frankenstein, and Rosemary’s Baby are about Womanhood and pregnancy.
To take my mind off the horrors of the world I look at this dude in Singapore’s amazing cat flickr. He has several friends with blogs about kitties.
