In Which Our Tried And True Senior Contributor Brings The Wonderful Pleasures of Science Into Your Ever So Tiny Lives

Valley Girl Science Corner

by Molly Lambert

Hey they found a new planet. It’s 20 light years away.

Scientists are way stoked. The British scientist was all “20 light years? We can go there!”

Oh and guess what else?

There are some monkeys that live in caves and make daggers out of stone. I am so for real.

And guess what else about monkeys? Male chimps prefer older lady chimp lovers. It’s because the older female chimps are still super fertile and knock uppable. How’s about that, sexy older ladies.

Men and women do think differently. I cannot hammer this home strongly enough.

The Helen Mirrens of the chimp world get crazy laid. What else, what else…oh they found the foundation for the human brain in worms! Worms evolved into the cerebral cortex eventually.

Whoa, right?

So someday when your brain fucks up…

…they’ll be able to just slide a little worm dude in there through your ear and fix you right up. Sweet, I know.

That’s it for the science beat this week like, fer sure!

Molly Lambert is a senior contributor to this recording. Please stick around for Molly’s movie pick of the week.

Many thanks to Some Velvet Blog for their hat tip. They made our blogroll so early, thanks to them and go read them here. The editorial “they”, of course.  This Wu-Tang post was particularly awesome.

  1. Oh wait. Yes, I have. I’m sorry, but I just don’t have it in me right now to type it all out again. Besides, it was just ramblings anyway. You didn’t want to hear me go on and on about this, right?
