It would be impossible to fully describe the impact the sketch comedy troupe The State had on this blog and contemporary comedy in general, but the simplicity of this sketch and how well it holds up is proof enough. The Jew, the Italian, and the Red Head Gay was also a classic sketch from them.
And of course who didn’t love perhaps the greatest sketch they ever did except for the one with the sperm and the ovaries.
People who don’t think this is funny…I honestly don’t know what to do with them. There is no comedy without this. The Comedy Central series Michael Ian Black, David Wain, and Michael Showalter did based on their roaming stage show is also absolutely classic, and if you do not have it on DVD, you’re probably wasting your time.
